Founder of Operation Shamrock
Erin West is a globally recognized speaker and educator specializing in transnational organized crime, with a focus on the criminal investigation and prosecution of cryptocurrency-related cases. Recently retired after 26 years as a Deputy District Attorney in Santa Clara County, California, Erin spent the last eight years of her career assigned to the REACT High-Tech Task Force, renowned for its arrests and prosecutions of SIM-swappers and successful cryptocurrency recoveries.
As the founder and leader of the Crypto Coalition, an international network of nearly 2,000 law enforcement agents focused on cryptocurrency investigations, Erin has played a pivotal role in advancing global collaboration in combating digital crimes.Following her retirement, she launched Operation Shamrock, a groundbreaking non-profit organization dedicated to uniting law enforcement, private industry, and cross-border stakeholders in the fight against transnational organized crime originating in Southeast Asia.
Erin’s leadership, innovation, and passion for justice continue to make her a driving force in the global effort to dismantle criminal enterprises and protect communities worldwide.

How much does Live Wire cost to attend?
There’s no cost to attend.
Live Wire is an invite-only event with limited spaces.
Each invitation includes the cost of up to 2 nights accommodations as well as all onsite activities starting with a welcome dinner on December 1, and a full day on December 2 inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and a closing happy hour reception.
Where will I stay?
Experience more of Austin during Live Wire 2025. After registering for the conference, you’ll receive an email to book your hotel. You’ll choose from one of three properties:
Hotel Magdalena: Enjoy the upscale boutique experience where the day’s conference takes place.
Austin Motel: Stay in a quirky, updated motor court that embodies “Keep Austin weird.”
Hotel San Jose: Experience an urban garden oasis at this MICHELIN Key hotel.
All hotels are less than 15 minutes by car from the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. Please arrange your own transportation to the hotel. Once there, we’ll take care of everything else!
Where is the welcome dinner?
Austin is home to numerous award-winning restaurants, where we’ll gather as small groups. After you are fully registered, you will receive a calendar invite with the location of your dinner. Each restaurant is within walking distance of your hotel.
What precautions will there be for health and safety?
The health and safety of our guests is a top priority for this in-person event. If you’re feeling unwell, please do not attend (and get some well-deserved rest).
We’ll also collect your emergency contact and accessibility or dietary requirements for all attendees as part of the registration process.
